Happy Halloween (a few days late)

It was a weekend filled with pumpkins, costumes, and lots of candy. Needless to say, Lincoln had a good time. His lasting impression of the weekend was candy. For example-

"Hey Lincoln, what do you want to drink?"
"Candy"
"Are you tired?"
"Candy, please"
That went on all night.

We started the weekend with pumpkin carving. He was semi-interested but did enjoy coloring on the pumpkins and digging his hands in the gooey middle.

He was quite the pumpkin design master.

It's a good thing that it was so warm on Halloween because his Bam-Bam costume worked out pretty well. I actually made this (after multiple attempts). My first attempt looked like a skirt with a sewn line down the middle, not too cute. We couldn't get the hat together so we powdered his hair to try and turn it white.

Betty and Bam-Bam
The whole Rubble family. (I just want to let everyone know that my niece has a Halloween party every year so we don't just dress up to go trick or treating, however, I do enjoy dressing up so I just use that as my excuse.)

This is cousin Ethan giving some pirate love.

Lincoln had a good time trick-or-treating, he would go to most doors but was reluctant at the "sca-wee" houses. He didn't understand the concept of collecting candy and wanted to eat each piece as it was given. (Hopefully this lady doesn't mind she's in the pic, no idea who she is.)

There was a pinata at the party and Lincoln got a few good hits in. I think he was confused that we were encouraging him to hit things with the bat.

I am adding this picture in because my child ceases to amaze me. Who knew that an almost 2-year old could play air hockey. He is quite the little grown-up.

That concludes our fun-filled Halloween weekend. Hopefully everyone has come out of their sugar comas and is ready for the start of another week.
